Chris Miller is Senior Vice President of EAB, leading their higher education research practice of more 1,400 colleges and university members in North America and the United Kingdom, serving senior academic and administrative leaders in Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Enrollment, Student Life, Continuing and Online Education and Advancement. Mr. Miller has led in-depth research efforts on innovations in academic program design and growth strategy; student success; maximizing mission and financial impact of IT and facilities investments, and university planning and budgeting excellence. He has authored more than 50 best practice reports on higher education strategy and administration.
Prior to EAB, Mr. Miller worked for 17 years with EAB’s sister companies The Advisory Board and Corporate Executive Board, doing extensive research in health care delivery strategy, and leadership education for “C-level” executives in Fortune 500 firms. His areas of specialty there were integrating emerging information technology and R&D in large, decentralized organizations, and developing assessment rubrics for human and process capital.
Mr. Miller is a frequent speaker at university board, leadership and faculty retreats, with more than 20 appearances at national higher education association conferences. He is a graduate of Cornell University, where he studied American literature and biology.
